Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It is with great pleasure and honor that we would like to welcome you to Chang Gung Forum 2019. This year's forum, taking place from the 7th to 9th of October, will be the 7th International Workshop on Surgery-First Orthognathic Surgery (OGS)and will be held at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taoyuan, Taiwan.
Adopting a clinically-oriented approach, the program begins with a whole day of orthodontic hands-on workshops and live surgical demonstrations. The orthodontic workshops would cover the Concepts of Surgical Design and Planning Formation and the Diagnosis and Treatment Planning in Different Case Categories: Surgery-First or Orthodontic-First. Surgical demonstrations would include Class II and Class III Malocclusions, Facial Asymmetry, Cleft Deformities and Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
The subsequent two days would comprise lectures that cover the whole spectrum of dentofacial deformities, from dental, skeletal to airway problems. Versatile treatment modalities that deal with these conditions would also be discussed, including Orthodontic-First to Surgery-First and Conventional planning to Computer-Aided Surgical Simulations. Along with the awareness of the powerful influences of surgical orthodontics on upper airway, and its important role in sleep and breathing, the evaluation and considerations for upper airway will be specifically discussed in both the workshops and lectures.
We would like to invite everyone to Chang Gung to share with you the most fruitful insights that we have learned from our clinical experience and research based on thousands of patients.
To promote a better understanding of the principles and foster more effective communication during the meeting, we have put online a list of references containing systematic review articles related to surgical orthodontic management of dentofacial conditions. The program and abstracts for the conference can also be downloaded prior to the meeting, otherwise, free Wi-Fi will be made available during the Forum.
This is an awesome opportunity that you would definitely want to be a part of. We hope that you will join us in the Chang Gung Forum 2019 and share your clinical expertise with participants coming from all around the world.
We look forward to seeing you!
